Verification IP startup Netsys Software Pvt. Ltd. (nSys) has introduced a new verification IP suite called nVS for ASI, or Advanced Switching Interconnect.

According to the company (New Delhi, India), the suite targets the communications, storage, server and embedded solutions markets. It also claim the suite product would significantly reduce verification time for complex SoC designs using the ASI protocol.

"We are focused on providing feature-rich yet low-cost verification tools to industry leaders who are constantly incorporating emerging standards into their designs," said Atul Bhatia, director at nSys, said in a statement. He added that ASI for nVS is offered in Verilog and tested and validated using the Intel ASI bus functional model.

The suite comes with support for multiple instantiations to create complex verification environments. It supports generating and driving bus traffic as a ASI requester and responding transactions as an ASI completer. It also supports injecting and detecting errors related to different layers.

The suite includes built-in test suites such as random, directed and error tests. It also includes a programmable monitor and checker. The company claims the tool also tests overall functionality of an interface without writing significant lines of code. A complete list of features for nVS for ASI is posted at the nSys Web site.

An Verilog version of the suite is available for evaluations to qualified customers. The nVS Verification Suite ships with full documentation and example configurations for SoC verification environments. nSys also said it offers verification consulting services to its customers.
