SonicWALL, Inc. has unveiled a new line of secure sockets layer virtual private network (SSL VPN) appliances designed to support an unlimited number of concurrent users at no additional cost.

Intended to complement SonicWALL's unified threat management (UTM) enabled firewall and VPN products, the SSL-VPN 200 and SSL-VPN 2000 appliances are easily deployed and managed. They feature a graphical user interface that allows network administrators to set granular policy configurations. Like all SSL VPNs, the devices do not require remote users to be equipped with a VPN client.

"What today's businesses need is a full spectrum of affordable solutions that deliver secure, clientless and easy-to-use remote access from anywhere while minimizing maintenance and support costs," SonicWALL president and chief executive officer Matthew Medeiros said in a statement. "These new SSL-VPN products complement our existing IPSec VPN solutions and will provide our entire channel partner base with an extended range of options supporting our UTM capabilities."

According to SonicWALL, the new SSL VPNs will come at a low pricetag, though the company has not yet announced pricing. The SSL-VPN 200 and SSL-VPN 2000 appliances will ship later this year.
