Clint McVey joins the company as senior vice president of development

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Permabit Technology Corporation, a leading developer of capacity-optimized, disk-based archive systems for enterprise, today announced an additional member of its world class technical leadership team. Effective immediately, Clint McVey, a leader in software product development, joins the company as Senior Vice President of Development. In conjunction with McVeys appointment, company co-founder Jered Floyd has moved to the role of Chief Technology Officer

“Clint McVey is an accomplished storage software executive with an outstanding, two decade track record of leading top engineering teams and producing great products,” said Cook. Most recently, as Senior Vice President of Product Operations at Avamar/EMC, McVey advanced both product management and engineering teams and positioned the company as a recognized provider of quality back-up solutions. Prior to that, McVey was a Vice President at VERITAS/Symantec where he led development and product management for the industry leading Backup Exec and NetBackup product lines of business.
