SAN FRANCISCO -- PacketTrap (www.PacketTrap.com), creator of the revolutionary-yet-simple pt360 Network Management Tool Suite, is pleased to announce that the pt360 has been downloaded by more than 2,000 customers in just one week. PacketTrap was catapulted into the spotlight when it launched the free public beta of its network management tool suite on November 27, 2007. The pt360 has received tremendous reaction from the network engineering community, most notably for its elegant coupling of a centralized dashboard with both network monitoring and network diagnostic tools, and open source integration capabilities.

Every network management vendor says their product is ‘easy to use’ but PacketTrap is the only one that has really defined what that means,” said Steve Goodman, CEO of PacketTrap. “What might take three or four different steps to achieve using other network management products takes only one with pt360, and that is why our solution speaks to the network engineering community.”

PacketTrap has received a warm welcome from the IT community and has been featured on several widely-read technology blogs. 42internetworks (www.42internetworks.com/blog) headlined, “Watch out Solarwinds, Spiceworks, AdventNet; there is a new Network Management Tool in Town!” Doug Drogseth from Enterprise Management Associates added, “PacketTrap is creating the type of emerging technology that provides critical capabilities for any organizations IT department.”
