Open Text Corp. next month will launch its first enterprise content management product stemming from its acquisitions of Ixos Software and Gauss Interprise. The Web Content Management Server adds web publishing and page management to Open Text's Livelink product, which includes team collaboration, document management, records management, process work flows and other ECM capabilities.

In the fall, the Canada-based Open Text plans to roll out additional elements of the product roadmap stemming from the acquisitions, including Livelink-integrated software for managing, tracking and storing e-mail, and content archiving.

Open Text announced last October the $250 million acquisition of Ixos, a German supplier of document-imaging and content-archiving software. The deal followed the acquisition of Gauss, a German-based content-management supplier.
