February 7, 2007
TORONTO -- Opalis Software, Inc., the leading provider of Run Book Automation (RBA) software that orchestrates, integrates and automates IT operational processes, today, announced record-breaking growth in 2006, with its customer base increasing to more than 800 companies worldwide and revenues rising by nearly triple digits. With new executive appointments, key industry partnerships and solutions-based templates for IT process automation, Opalis is poised for accelerated growth in 2007.
Opalis' RBA software provides the orchestration, integration and automation of operational processes across multiple data, departmental and application silos. This is achieved through Opalis' extensive out-of-the-box process templates and integration for leading systems management vendors, and its script/code-free workflow that incorporates the people, process and technologies involved in operational procedures.
In 2006, Opalis brought on a new CEO, as well as a number of seasoned industry experts to support its rapidly growing sales, marketing and business development organizations globally. Todd DeLaughter was announced CEO - Todd joined the company after serving as general manager for HP's OpenView business unit; Mike Tindal was named VP of marketing; Thomas Siegel joined the company as VP of worldwide sales; and Yale Tankus joined the company as VP of strategy and business development.
"Automating the IT management process remains a key objective for IT executives focused on driving the cost and complexity out of IT operations,"reported David Williams of Gartner during the "Run Book Automation"presentation at the November 2006 Gartner Data Center Conference. "The adoption (of RBA) continues to gain momentum as enterprise maturity provides the process knowledge, the need and the appropriate expectation to meet the challenge. This momentum continues to increase and will continue to grow."
