REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Kidaro, a leading provider of enterprise desktop virtualization solutions, today announced that Kevin Brown has been named President, Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the board of directors. Mr. Brown, an accomplished entrepreneur and executive in the software, networking, storage, and security sectors, will lead Kidaros expansion in the enterprise and government markets. Prior to joining Kidaro, Mr. Brown served in executive roles at Network Appliance, Decru, and Inktomi, and has served as an advisor on privacy and security matters for the U.S. Congress, Federal Trade Commission, and U.S. Department of Defense.

“Kevin is a powerful addition to the Kidaro team, and the timing is perfect,” said Ran Kohavi, Vice President and founder of Kidaro. “Kevin has played a major role in creating technology markets, including Internet search, network caching, and storage security. The desktop virtualization market is rapidly moving toward mainstream adoption, and Kevin’s infrastructure expertise is an ideal fit to drive Kidaro’s growth.”

Kidaro provides the first enterprise-class platform for deploying and managing virtualization across corporate desktops and laptops. Gartner Research has predicted that virtualization will be the most important technology in IT infrastructures and operations through 2010, with desktop virtualization as one of the highest-value segments. InfoWorld magazine labs recently highlighted Kidaro as one of the leaders in a “virtual two-horse race” for the desktop virtualization market.

“Virtualization technology has had a profound impact on mainframes, networks, storage, and servers, but it has not yet transformed the desktop,” said Kevin Brown, President and Chief Executive Officer of Kidaro. “Enterprise desktops today are too insecure and too difficult to manage. Kidaro has built a powerful platform for solving these problems in an enterprise context, without forcing users to change their workflow or trade off the benefits of their current desktop environment.”
