Intuitive Voice Technology (IVT) is the latest to jump on the Open Source Asterix bandwagon, releasing Evolution, a low-cost, Asterix-based PBX for small businesses that integrates VoIP and standard phone lines.
The software works on standard PC hardware, and includes a wide range of features, including auto-attendant, integration with multiple VoIP providers, Outlook integration, voice mail to email, music-on-hold, parking, call forwarding, dial by name directory, group routing, call recording, and unlimited extensions.
The PBX solves a problem faced by many small businesses -- VoIP services such as Vonage do not work with many office phone systems used by small businesses.
Pricing starts at $499. A 30-day free trial is available from www.intuitivevoice.com. A CD version is also available upon request.
