LAS VEGAS -- Isilon(R) Systems (NASDAQ:ISLN), the leader in clustered storage, will provide a glimpse into the future of the digital media landscape at the 2008 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) conference in Las Vegas from April 14th - 18th. Underscoring the critical role clustered storage serves in empowering the next generation of digital media, Isilon will feature two marquee demonstrations at NAB 2008. In conjunction with Isilon's customer, 3ality Digital Systems, Isilon will present the "Isilon 3D Theater" featuring a screening of live-action 3D broadcast programming, including a segment of the movie U23D. At Isilon's NAB booth, the company has joined with Tekserve Professional and Gallery/Sienna to demonstrate how tomorrow's newsrooms will manage, edit and produce HD programming in real-time using Isilon clustered storage in combination with Apple Final Cut Pro production environments.

"The demands of digital 3D entertainment are an order of magnitude larger than traditional digital media and so, in order to keep pushing the digital media envelope, a new paradigm in storage is required," said Howard Postley, CTO of 3ality Digital Systems. "By deploying Isilon IQ, we have been able to unify disparate silos of 3D content into a single, highly scalable shared pool of storage, which is critical for delivering a seamless 3D viewing experience."
