SEATTLE -- Isilon Systems (NASDAQ: ISLN), the leader in clustered storage, has expanded and strengthened its leadership team. Isilon today announced that Tony Regier has joined the company as Vice President of Isilon’s global channel sales organization and announced that David Skillern has joined Isilon as Vice President of Isilon’s Global Services organization. Isilon has added to its global sales operations and named Tom Pettigrew as Vice President and General Manager of the company’s newly launched business operations in Asia Pacific (see separate press release). The company also announced today that Keenan Conder, Isilon’s Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary has been named to Isilon’s executive team. Isilon CEO Sujal Patel announced these additions to the leadership team to position the company to best capture the burgeoning market opportunity for clustered storage.

“When I founded Isilon seven years ago, one of our core beliefs was that digital content and unstructured data would become pervasive and play a fundamental role in driving innovation and business in the enterprise market. Today, this has become a reality,” said Sujal Patel, Founder and CEO, Isilon Systems. “In response, market demand for clustered storage has been strong but we are still in the early days of adoption. Infusing Isilon with proven leadership talent is an important step towards fully realizing the business opportunities ahead.”

Under Isilon Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Steve Fitz, the company has named Tony Regier as Vice President of its global channel sales organization and Tom Pettigrew as Vice President and General Manager of its Asia Pacific business operations. Mr. Pettigrew previously spent three and one half years as Isilon’s Vice President of Global Sales Partners, where he forged Isilon’s Smart Partner channel and OEM programs and established Isilon’s initial operations in Japan, Korea and Europe.

Tony Regier joins Isilon Systems from MSI System Integrators, a leading systems integration company in North America with more than $300 million in annual sales. As Senior Vice President of MSI’s Storage and Networking practice, Mr. Regier led MSI’s largest and most profitable business unit focused on selling enterprise storage solutions from a broad range of companies including IBM, Cisco, Network Appliance, Symantec and Isilon. With a deep understanding for the profound role digital content and unstructured data play in today’s enterprises, Mr. Regier elected to join Isilon and lead its channel sales organization through the company’s next stage of growth.

“Enterprise businesses are realizing that digital content and unstructured data are quickly becoming the life-blood of their business,” said Tony Regier, Vice President, Global Channel Sales, Isilon Systems. “At MSI I realized, first hand, that storage solutions from companies such as IBM and Network Appliance couldn’t provide the service levels required to store, manage and access this type of data. Isilon clustered storage delivered in spades and I am thrilled to lead and further develop Isilon’s channel partner ecosystem during such an exciting and pivotal time in enterprise IT.”Isilon Systems Inc.
