ARMONK, N.Y. -- IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced breakthrough scalability and performance running the SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence Accelerator (SAP NetWeaver BI Accelerator) component of the SAP NetWeaver platform on IBM BladeCenter servers.

Extensive testing utilizing generally available products from both companies reveals clients running the SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI) component can now scale up to 140 IBM BladeCenter servers as needed to improve system response time and more easily manage the exponential growth of information flowing across the enterprise.

"This performance delivers an unprecedented 5x scalability improvement over previous IBM BladeCenter server configurations running SAP solutions based on real-world client environments," said David Gelardi, vice president, Worldwide Advanced Client Technology Centers, IBM Systems & Technology Group. "As a result, our clients can now have increased flexibility and scalability to drive more value from their information assets and be more responsive to customer needs."
