Hitachi Promotes Senior Execs

Hitachi Data Systems announced the promotions of John Mansfield and Brian Householder to senior vice president.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT) and the only provider of Services Oriented Storage Solutions, today announced the promotion of John Mansfield to senior vice president of Global Solutions Strategy and Development and Brian Householder to senior vice president of Business Development and Planning. Mr. Mansfield succeeds Jack Domme, who was recently appointed chief operating officer of Hitachi Data Systems. Mr. Mansfield and Mr. Householder will report directly to Mr. Domme and will join the Hitachi Data Systems Executive Committee.

As a key contributor to the success of the Global Solutions Strategy and Development Group, Mr. Mansfield has played an instrumental role in setting the requirements for the creation of next generation hardware, platform software, storage management software, and storage solutions and services that meet the specific needs of Hitachi Data Systems global customers.

As the newly appointed senior vice president of the Global Solutions Strategy and Development Group, Mr. Mansfield will lead the company’s unified product and services organization tasked with solutions strategy and development at Hitachi Data Systems. His responsibilities will encompass managing the design and product management of Hitachi’s hardware, software and services solutions portfolio, spearheading the technical operations and global product marketing organizations, and overseeing the company’s Technology Office and the Hitachi Data Systems Academy.
