MILPITAS, Calif. -- HighPoint Technologies releases the RocketRAID 3120 PCI Express x1 SATA True Hardware RAID IOP Controller that provides easy installation and improved data protection for desktops and entry level servers for Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and Mac OS X. There is also native support in Linux with a Linux GPL Open Source Licensed Driver.

The RocketRAID 3120 has a PCI-Express x1 interface for today’s advance motherboards. Other advance features of the RocketRAID 3120 include a hardware RAID IOP storage engine and 128MB DDR II of cache memory with two internal SATA ports at speeds up to 3 Gb/s that are an ideal using setting up RAID 0 for high performance or RAID 1 for data protection. A low profile form factor makes the RocketRAID 3120 ideal for desktops and compact servers. A powerful and easy to use RAID management utility (HighPoint RAID Management) HRM is included to configure and mange the storage.
