PARIS -- FalconStor Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:FALC), the market leader in disk-based data protection solutions, today announced its new initiative into the growing Nordic market, with the opening of a new office in Upplands Vsby, Sweden.

Thomas Krokbäck, FalconStor’s Sales Manager, Nordic region said: “The Nordic territory is a rapidly growing market into which FalconStor is starting to deliver successful data protection deployments, including VirtualTape Library, Continuous Data Protection and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery solutions. The opening of this new office will ensure our increased responsiveness to customer needs in this region.”

Bo Ôsterman, Managing Director of FalconStor’s Swedish partner, Cristie AB said: “It’s a boost to customer confidence to see full localized support from the vendor behind the solution. This move will help us increase our sales here and repeat the success we have had in the UK. We welcome FalconStor’s arrival.”
