Egenera Inks $300 Million Blade Deal With Fujitsu

Egenera Inc. will deliver some $300 million worth of blade servers to Fujitsu Siemens Computers over a three-year period, the firms announced on Wednesday.

Egenera Inc. will deliver some $300 million worth of blade servers to Fujitsu Siemens Computers over a three-year period, the firms announced on Wednesday.

Massachusetts-based Egenera said Fujitsu Siemens will integrate the machines into its PRIMERGY server platform for the European, Middle East and African markets.

Bob Dutkowsky, Egenera’s chairman, president and CEO, indicated the alliance endorses Egenera’s Dynamic Data Center solution that seeks to simplify data center operations and infrastructure.
