CARLSBAD, Calif. -- Dot Hill Systems Corp. (Nasdaq: HILL - News), a market leader in providing flexible storage offerings and responsive service and support to OEMs and system integrators (SIs), today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted the company U.S. patent 7,143,227 "Broadcast bridge apparatus for transferring data to redundant memory subsystems in a storage controller."

The patent pertains to the company's innovative technology that accelerates I/O processing in redundant storage controllers by mirroring incoming data over high-speed internal data paths. Through this approach, the data is stored in the cache memory subsystems of both controllers simultaneously, increasing system responsiveness and preserving data redundancy at all times. The implementation of this type of advanced design is included in our R/Evolution 2730 RAID subsystems, launched worldwide in 2006. Available today through over a dozen OEM partners, SimulCache(TM) has helped to revolutionize the subsystem performance of write transactions creating unrivaled application throughput without sacrificing controller reliability.
