EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Compellent Technologies today announced that DiscoverReady, a discovery management and litigation support services firm based in New York City, has selected Compellents Storage Center storage area network (SAN) to enhance its data storage performance and reduce capital disk expenditures. DiscoverReady is the latest among a growing number of professional services firms turning to highly-scalable, modular enterprise storage to speed daily processing of legal documents for litigation and regulatory compliance.

DiscoverReady helps Fortune 100 companies meet regulatory compliance requirements and review data -- from email trails to merger documentation -- in the event of audits or litigation by providing first pass document review and discovery management services. The firm prepares and processes terabytes of data annually. To maximize profitability, DiscoverReady’s goal is to quickly inventory, upload and process documents for cases so that attorneys can rapidly review and categorize them. This allows the expert lawyers and auditors hired by their clients to spend their billable time inspecting only the most relevant files.

“As a legal services firm, we need our professionals to spend as much time as possible on billable work, not on finding the right files, or inventorying documents,” said Rachi Messing, vice president of technology services at DiscoverReady. “Compellent’s automated tiered storage -- which requires no administration by our IT support or our attorneys -- makes documents available for review three times faster than before. No other storage vendor offered this amount of power and simplicity.”
