Coyote Point Systems has released a load-balancing system for internal and external enterprise networks. Officials say the technology addresses traffic management by using layers 4-7 to route server requests to devices that bear lighter loads, thus improving overall enterprise network perforamce.

The solution, dubbed the Equalizer Extreme, runs on Dell's PowerEdge 1750 rack server, which features dual Intel Xeon processors, and hot-plug redundant power.
