BOSTON -- Coveo Solutions, Inc., a global provider of search-powered information access solutions, today announced that Coveos enterprise search platform, the underlying framework of the Coveo G2B™ Information Access Suite, achieved new goals in speed and scalability by indexing millions of documents per hour, and hundreds of millions of documents within a few days. In doing so, Coveo demonstrates its ability to reach upwards of a billion documents within a few weeks.

As part of Coveo’s continued efforts to push its search-powered information access solutions to new heights, Coveo conducted a project earlier in the year in collaboration with HP to test the scalability of its software using HP BladeSystem server blades with AMD Opteron™ processors, coupled with HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array. The content indexed included a mix of standard Office, PDF, HTML and XML documents.

“Through the use of HP BladeSystem and AMD Opteron processors, Coveo’s software met the rigorous challenges of this project, proving its ability to quickly scale linearly in a variety of enterprise environments. In doing so, Coveo’s software further reduces the amount of time required for customers to access the information they need to drive business,” said Laurent Simoneau, Coveo’s president and CEO. “This project is yet another example of our continued commitment to uncompromised performance for today’s businesses.”
