CARY, N.C. and PROVO, Utah -- Prodigy Networx will provide the Consonus Technologies (CTI) developed Remote Backup Service (RBS) to their various clients.

The alliance is an outgrowth of Consonus channel partner strategy to make its investment in data centers and its high service levels available to the channel for the first time. Under the Prodigy Networx alliance, CTI and Prodigy are providing RBS to a wide variety of clients, large and small, to help them improve operational efficiency, to increase profitability and satisfy regulatory requirements. The combined expertise of the two companies enables customers to access current, best-of-class technology without the substantial capital expense.

CTI’s RBS is an alternative to traditional backup methods, replacing conventional solutions with a fully automated online solution. RBS provides automated backups of heterogeneous file servers as well as application and database servers with encrypted, secure offsite storage, and rapid online restoration. The RBS offering includes 24x7 monitoring of customers’ backup environments provided in a Consonus SAS 70-compliant network operations center.

Consonus CEO Mike Shook says, “Traditional backup solutions can be difficult and costly to operate. With RBS, customers receive an efficient way to recover mission-critical data on demand through a enterprise-class solution without the added headcount and capital investment.”
