MSN said Wednesday it will give movie buffs an insider's view into this year's Cannes Film Festival by taking them there online. The Internet site will take viewers beyond the red carpet, providing access to festival happenings and coverage of movies, such as "The Da Vinci Code" and "X-Men 3".

The Cannes Film Festival officially opened this week with most critics giving thumbs down to "The Da Vinci Code," this year's most controversial film, following the world premier on Wednesday.

From Cannes, Taylor Johnson, MSN's Dish Diva, will publish a daily diary online highlighting memorable moments. Johnson will feature a new interview each day with sought-after stars such as Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Sir Ian McKellen, and Paul Bettany.

Johnson began Day 1 with a unique look at "The Da Vinci Code Train" in London's Waterloo terminal, followed by an interview with director Ron Howard.
