Data warehouse appliance leader speeds up Blue Cross Blue Shield's business intelligence initiatives

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Netezza Corporation (NYSE Arca: NZ), the global data warehouse appliance market leader, today announced that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) has selected the Netezza Performance ServerB. (NPSB.) system to power its business intelligence processes. With the speed of the Netezza system, BCBSMA is now able to combine data from multiple business units and analyze it for the business users. Additionally, the BCBSMA IT organization can now extract and load information for membership and subscription analysis up to 50 times faster than with their previous environment, enabling much faster time to market with a significantly reduced IT workload.
