WILSONVILLE, Ore. -- APCON, Inc. today announced the latest contract from its customer, Terremark Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ:TMRK). Terremark, a leading global provider of managed IT infrastructure services, has purchased a 20-switch license of TITAN, software for managing APCON's INTELLAPATCH switches.

Terremark operates facilities worldwide housing the equipment and networks of telecommunications and internet service providers, as well as hundreds of enterprise customers and various government entities. It has been using APCON's INTELLAPATCH Physical Layer Switches to remotely monitor and troubleshoot the networks of these service providers. Based on the success of the INTELLAPATCH switches, Terremark chose to order TITAN, a software package that offers a single point of control for interconnected APCON switches. When TITAN is fully deployed, Terremark will be able to electronically move and share analysis tools among the networks of its service provider customers, all from its central monitoring center in Miami.

"TITAN provides important benefits to us as well as to our customers," said Marvin Wheeler, President of Terremark's U.S. Commercial Business Unit. "We'll be able to deliver monitoring services more cost-effectively, even as our customer base grows, and we can ensure that our customers' equipment and networks perform at even higher levels of reliability."
