SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Alacritech Inc., the leader of innovative data-delivery technology, announced today that its 10GbE network and storage accelerators are currently in the hands of OEMs for evaluation. Many of the industrys major OEMs have agreed to evaluate Alacritech’s 10GbE technology on the merits of the company’s history and leadership in Dynamic TCP/IP Offload Engines (TOE). Alacritech’s undisputed mastery of Dynamic Offload in previous product generations makes it a “must evaluate” solution for OEM’s embracing TCP Chimney Offload support. Alacritech is on-track to launch the 10GbE cards in the fall of 2008.

“The feedback we are receiving from early 10GbE evaluations is extremely positive,” said Patrick Riley, Alacritech’s director of product management. “This fifth-generation Dynamic TCP Offload design lives up to its reputation of delivering line-rate performance with minimal CPU utilization for large block sizes. With design breakthroughs that have made small block size performance highly competitive, our OEMs can be confident about providing an Alacritech 10GbE accelerator to their customers, knowing that the card has a wide field of use across all types of applications and that it comes from the vendor that invented the category.”
