LOWELL, Mass. -- Acopia Networks, Inc., the leader in high-performance intelligent file virtualization, today announced the details of its “NeoPath Buyback Program.” The limited-time promotion offers customers up to a 100% product allowance when they trade-in NeoPath Networks File Director products towards the purchase of Acopia ARX™ systems, featuring the recently announced FreedomFabric™ network operating system software.

Under the terms of the program, customers who purchased a NeoPath File Director product prior to March 12, 2007 are eligible for a purchase credit towards an equivalent or greater Acopia product. The purchase credit is in addition to any pre-negotiated Acopia customer discount. The program runs through June 30, 2007.

Acopia’s FreedomFabric software, combined with its award-winning ARX series intelligent file virtualization platforms – including the ARX 6000, ARX 1000, and ARX 500, provides the basis for enforcing powerful automated intelligent data management policies, including:

  • Non-disruptive data migrations move data across heterogeneous storage devices to facilitate seamless server consolidation, platform upgrades, and vendor switches.

  • Automated storage tiering places data on the appropriate storage tier automatically and manages the data lifecycle over time, reducing capital expenditures (CAPEX) and shrinking backup and recovery windows.

  • Efficient data replication of file data between heterogeneous storage devices for more efficient and cost effective disaster recovery.

  • Dynamic load balancing distributes demand across existing storage devices dynamically, improving application performance.
