Reconnex and Titus Labs team up to automate sensitive data protection
February 8, 2008
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA and OTTAWA -- Reconnex, the leader in information monitoring and protection appliances, and Titus Labs, the leading provider of government and enterprise data classification software, today announced their integrated solution to help customers secure confidential data. Through the use of the Reconnex and Titus Labs products, enterprises will now be able to locate and secure sensitive information on the network to better protect against inadvertent disclosure and improve E-Discovery.
Organizations struggle with trying to locate sensitive information and then to automate its protection. Increasingly, organizations are tasked with locating sensitive information within different repositories on the network, which can be time intensive and highly inefficient. As well, corporations must comply with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and a number of other federal, state, and industry laws and regulations that deal with regulatory compliance for E-Discovery.
Titus Labs' classification solutions enable organizations to prevent inadvertent disclosure and automate encryption with forced e-mail and document labelling at the desktop. The Reconnex Data at Rest DLP solution automates the discovery and categorization of content and then enables Titus Labs Document Tagging. The Reconnex Data in Motion DLP solution is pre-configured to recognize the Titus Labs classification tags, leveraging the metadata associated with those labels to execute rules and policies.
"This combined solution provides organizations with a comprehensive capability to automate classification and then to protect this content from loss over multiple communication channels," said Faizel Lakhani, vice president of products and marketing, Reconnex. "Titus Labs' unique content tagging capability and the Reconnex Discover capability will enable customers to locate and secure their confidential documents in an easy and cost-effective manner."
