PALO ALTO, Calif. -- HP today announced that it will offer customers an automated network change and configuration management solution through a licensing agreement with Voyence, Inc.

The solution, HP OpenView Network Configuration Manager, integrates Voyence technology to extend change, configuration and release management processes to devices such as routers, hubs and switches regardless of device manufacturer. Compatible with information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) best practices, the solution enables IT staff to identify, implement and validate changes to optimize the use of IT infrastructure.

HP OpenView Network Configuration Manager also tracks and reports on network configuration changes for the purpose of audit and compliance reporting. This builds on the ability of HP OpenView software to immediately remediate non-compliant configurations and provide single-click proof of compliance.

“HP OpenView Network Configuration Manager will enable customers to manage and respond to change, including change within the network domain, even more efficiently than before,” said Todd DeLaughter, vice president and general manager, OpenView Business Unit, HP. “We have integrated Voyence technology because it offers the most extensive support of devices from multiple manufacturers, giving customers even more choice and investment protection.”
