NEW YORK and DALLAS -- Telx, a leading provider of network rich carrier neutral co-location and interconnection services has acquired 21,000 square feet of space at 8435 Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, Texas; offering global enterprise networks the ability to expand and meet their demanding communications and technology requirements.

This acquisition brings over 800 additional cabinets for co-location and interconnection services to the greater Dallas market; only months after Telx announced the expansion of their initial Dallas facility located in the Univision Tower Building at 2323 Bryan Street, doubling the size to over 11,000 square feet. Telx will be deploying a fiber network to link the two facilities enabling customers in the new Stemmons facility the ability to reach 70+ networks already deployed within the Telx Meet Me Room Xchange Center at 2323 Bryan. Telx will now operate over 31,000 square feet of co-location space in Dallas, solidifying its position as the leading provider of network rich technology co-location facilities.

2007 has been a year of phenomenal growth for Telx as well as a year of significant integration. We acquired ten network rich exchange facilities from Digital Realty Trust and one from NYC Connect providing us a presence at 111 8th Avenue in New York,” stated Eric Shepcaro, Chairman and CEO of Telx. “Now, with 14 facilities in 9 markets, the time is right to continue our expansion and growth. Stemmons will also provide us the opportunity to deploy our annex strategy of new Telx ColoXchange Centers that will provide an array of Telx connectivity products and services.”
