Xyratex Teams With NEC

NEC has selected Xyratex's E5412E SAS/SATA RAID system as the external storage solution for its IA server NEC Express5800

HAVANT, U.K. -- Xyratex Ltd. (NASDAQ:XRTX), a leading provider of enterprise class data storage subsystems and storage process technology, today announced that NEC has selected Xyratexs E5412E SAS/SATA RAID system as the external storage solution for its IA server NEC Express5800, designed for entry to medium-sized business networks.

NEC utilizes many different storage systems including Xyratex’s 4320 and 4700 across its multitude of Internet, broadband network and business solutions and will now integrate the Xyratex E5412E RAID system into its IA Express5800 server. The NEC Express5800 server is an efficient solution that can serve as a file/printer server to enterprise class, mission critical servers that provide superior dependability and scalability. Xyratex’s E5412E will be used in various fault tolerant and clustering solutions sold into the government, finance and manufacturing markets.
