SAN DIEGO -- Verari Systems, developers of platform-independent blade-based computing and storage solutions, today announced that its BladeRack® 2 blade server platform and RM (rackmount) series of servers will now support the Intel® Xeon® multi-processor (MP) server platform featuring Quad-Core Intel Xeon Processors and the Intel 7300 chipset. Offering breakthrough performance, energy efficiency and support for Intel Virtualization Technology, the new platform is enabling Verari Systems to redefine the system responsiveness and flexibility of blade-based computing.
“The six new Quad-Core Xeon® 7300 series processors are specifically designed for multi-processor servers running applications requiring uncompromised performance, reliability and scalability,” said Nick Davison, North American Channel Director, Intel. “They can deliver more than twice the performance and more than three times the performance per watt over the company’s previous generation dual-core products.”
Recognized in the industry for optimizing the ratio of compute output to total power consumed, the Quad-Core Intel Xeon Processor uses a similar amount of energy as single-core processors, while delivering a substantial performance increase. Integrated into Verari Systems’ environmentally responsible servers with patented Vertical Cooling Technology™, customers benefit from energy-efficient performance in ultra-dense deployments.
“Verari Systems’ BladeRack 2 is a powerful and dense blade server platform built for virtualization and consolidation,” said David B. Wright, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Verari Systems. “The addition of the Intel Xeon MP Platform to our family of highly scalable systems provides our customers with the type of enterprise reliability not available elsewhere and will further increase the IT efficiency and system utilization for VMware customers.”Verari Systems Inc.
