DALLAS -- Tek-Tools Software, the leading private developer of resource management software solutions announced today its results for the first quarter ended March 30, 2007.

Revenue for the quarter increased 33% over the comparable period last year. Additionally, the company added over 100 new customers in the first quarter from diverse sectors such as healthcare, energy, and finance, among others, resulting in a net increase of more than 17% to its worldwide customer base. Growth was fueled by sales of recently released modules for storage arrays and unified storage systems, as well as added support for virtual storage environments.

We are pleased to report our sixth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth. Our success in the first quarter was driven by the market demand for a consolidated set of storage and data protection solutions,” said Ken Barth President and CEO of Tek-Tools Software. “The level of interest in StorageProfiler and BackupProfiler was instrumental in driving revenue from the Profiler Suite, and we saw a tremendous spike in ServerProfiler as a result of our support for VMware ESX. We expect this trend to continue, as we add robust functionality and new modules to the suite.”

Recognized as a Challenger in the SRM space by Gartner, Tek-Tools continues to exceed forecasted market growth rates. IDC’s recent Worldwide Storage Software Forecast predicts that the storage software market will grow at an annual rate of 9.5%.

“Our solutions help IT professionals stay aligned with the line-of-business executives they support. Tek-Tools’ Profiler reduces the complexity and cost of managing an IT infrastructure and helps IT professionals deliver on their service level agreements to the business units,” stated Curt Simmons, Tek-Tools Vice President of Sales. “We launched Storage and Backup Assessment offerings to the VAR Channel in Q4 of 2006, while revenue from our OEM partners continued to grow, contributing to our success in the first quarter 2007. Our customers have chosen us over the competition, because we’ve eliminated the need to have one application for every role in the company. Instead we provide role-tailored views from a common, consistent repository of information on data protection, storage, systems, and application health and performance.”
