MILWAUKEE and ST. LOUIS -- RedPrairie Corporation, a world leading consumer-driven optimization company, today announced plans to expand into two new US data centers to support continued growth in its software-as-a-service capabilities. RedPrairie is partnering with SAVVIS, Inc. (NASDAQ:SVVS), a global leader in IT infrastructure services for business applications, to support RedPrairies hosting services business, which has grown to more than 6,000 hosted sites across the retail, hospitality, petroleum and distribution industries. Customers include multiple Fortune Global 50 customers, and the on-demand capabilities are tailored to support customers of all sizes.

RedPrairie was on the vanguard of the software-as-a-service (SaaS) market, and hosted its first on-demand customer in February 2000. RedPrairie currently hosts customers from two data centers, one in Atlanta and one in London, and both centers will continue to support customers currently hosted there. The Company will now host customers from two new SAVVIS data centers in Atlanta and the Washington, DC area opening in September and October respectively.

“Our customers are seeing great value in the software-as-a-service delivery model and in the E2e product suite. This is translating to great market momentum for our hosting services, which has accelerated as we have expanded our hosted offering across the full E2e suite,” said Stewart Chisam, Senior Vice President of Technology for RedPrairie’s Retail Productivity Solutions. “SAVVIS’ advanced hosting and infrastructure services model, featuring on-demand utility services such as virtualized storage, archiving and back up capabilities, allows us to flexibly respond to increases in demand, and gives us a worldwide footprint for expansion. That is reflected in our decision to expand into SAVVIS’ new data centers this year.”
