MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Reconnex, the leader in information monitoring and protection appliances, today announced that it has signed an agreement with Trend Micro Incorporated, a leader in network antivirus and Internet content security software, to OEM its data leak prevention (DLP) agent as part of the Reconnex iGuard DLP solution. Reconnex has integrated the Trend Micro LeakProof with its iGuard to create the most comprehensive and intelligent network- and endpoint-based DLP solution available, offering enterprises complete protection for data in motion, data at rest, and data in use.

The agreement leverages the Reconnex Open API, which provides access to Reconnex's capture database of indexed, searchable content, to integrate the Trend Micro LeakProof agent into the Reconnex DLP system. This API enables an enterprise-class solution that defines and enforces policies for the protection of sensitive information. The integrated solution enables users to monitor adherence to policies at the edge of the network, as well as on each endpoint, in a consistent and unified manner. Trend Micro LeakProof will enable Reconnex to safeguard data in use at corporate desktops, branch offices, and mobile devices, online or offline, by effectively blocking all exits regardless of attached device, communications channel, or network protocol.
