HANNOVER, Germany -- QStar Technologies, Inc., a global leader in compliance, archiving and data protection solutions, today announces its SntryML Email Archive Appliance. The appliance is fully integrated with QStar HSM and QStar Data Director data protection products, enabling customers to manage email archives through a seamless tiered storage management structure, supporting disk, tape and optical without integrating a third party software on the email server.

SntryML is deployed on SntryStr, QStar’s archive appliance hardware platform. Deployed as an appliance, the email archive functionality combined with QStar’s storage management applications provides complete email archiving and well-managed data storage. The appliance is designed to meet the email archive needs of small-to-midsize businesses (SMB). This innovative integration of advanced technologies, which protects and manages critical corporate knowledge over both the long and short term, offers customers the freedom to support virtually any email application and choose any network storage technology as a message repository.

"QStar simplifies email storage," states Riccardo Finotti, President of QStar. "With QStar, customers get advanced email storage management without sacrificing the freedom to choose the storage technology that best suits their needs. SntryML offers a noninvasive solution that eliminates the complex setup of similar software based email management solutions. The appliance does not require special integration to work with the email application itself. The solution provides the flexibility to deploy the storage technology of choice and offers a very powerful storage solution to meet the growing demand for email management.”
