QCopy Added to Qsan iSCSI

TAIPEI -- QCopy, the feature of remote replication embedded in Qsan iSCSI solution, is now enabled in latest firmware release v2.2 for P120C, the dual-port iSCSI-SATAII RAID controller. QCopy v2.2 is the first and basic edition now available to all P120C customers without additional license charge.

Compared to all other RAID controller vendors, Qsan has a unique strategic direction in mind aiming to be the leading storage solution provider, i.e. focus to deliver software value-add based on a reasonable product mix as opposed to selling a wide range of me-too products. QSnap is the very first snapshot feature in the segment. QCopy is now the very first remote replication in the segment. The logic and usage of the feature is extremely simple. All associated functions are included in current P120C Web UI. All a user needs to do is to take a snapshot first, identify the destination storage, and then trigger the data copying process. Cost-sensitive SMBs and certain vertical markets are now able to deploy advanced disaster recovery infrastructure at storage layer by QCopy on top of Qsan IP SAN solution P120C. No more purchase of additional backup software and no need to setup a FC SAN which is basically out of reach cost-wise.
