PMC-Sierra announced it is increasing its presence in Greater China with the opening of a new sales and design center in Shanghai

SHANGHAI, China -- PMC-Sierra, Inc. (Nasdaq:PMCS), a leading provider of broadband communications and storage semiconductors, today announced it is increasing its presence in Greater China with the opening of a new sales and design center in Shanghai, China. Mr. Tom Sun, vice president, Asia Pacific Operations, continues to lead overall operations and the development of this center, which is focusing primarily on the development of PMC-Sierras enterprise storage and fiber access solutions.

“This opening reflects PMC-Sierra’s commitment to our many customers in China,” said Bob Bailey, PMC-Sierra’s chairman and CEO. “The sales and design center will enhance our ability to support our customers’ design and development efforts and help to accelerate time to market.”
