HOUSTON -- Pivot3 Inc., the inventor of virtual distributed RAID, today announced that the company has joined the Security Industry Association (SIA), a nonprofit international trade association representing electronic and physical security product manufacturers, specifiers, and service providers. The company has recently launched its first video storage cluster solution, which offers up to five times the streaming performance at half of the cost of competitive solutions; the launch was marked by strong partner and customer interest. This new agreement with one of the security industrys most reputable organizations shows Pivot3’s commitment to bringing the latest and most cost-effective storage solutions to the video surveillance arena while delivering ease of use, high scalability, and impressive performance.

“SIA is excited to welcome Pivot3 as a new member,” said Richard Chace, CEO/executive director of SIA. "Storage is often one of the largest portions of a surveillance installation, and our members are looking forward to learning how they can securely store their fast-growing video surveillance data with storage technologies such as the one offered by Pivot3.”

“We are pleased to join SIA and show our customers and partners our commitment to the physical security market,” said Jeffrey Bell, Pivot3 vice president of marketing. “These environments need cost-effective high performance with high levels of data protection. Also, as most of the organizations from this space are new to networked storage, our easy-to-install, self-managing system is being enthusiastically embraced.”
