LONDON -- EmulexCorporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that Pillar Data Systems hasselected Emulex InSpeed(r) Embedded Storage Switches and qualifiedEmulex's LightPulse(r) 4Gb/s Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) forintegration into its Pillar Axiom storage system.
The Pillar Axiom is designed to deliver maximum storage efficiencythrough better performance and capacity. Emulex InSpeed technologydelivers enhanced performance, reliability, availability andserviceability (RAS) by bringing switched connectivity inside thestorage system. In addition, Emulex's LightPulse 4Gb/s Fibre ChannelHBAs leverage seven generations of advanced, field-proven technology,providing customers with unparalleled manageability, reliability,performance and ease of deployment.
