OPNET is working to bolster its application performance management solution and Monday announced the purchase of Network Physics for $10M. OPNET will add the NetSensory product line of Network Physics into their ACE Live end-to-end monitoring solution announced in September. OPNET is moving into the big leagues competing with other enterprise software vendors that are offering more alternatives for data collection to uncover the true root cause of pesky application performance issues. Definitely worth a look.
