MILTON, Australia -- Moonwalk Inc. today announced that the latest version of its all-inclusive data management and protection software enables customers to take advantage of huge cost efficiencies that Internet Storage affords via file system interconnectivity with leading Web-based storage service providers. Moonwalk has been taking a leadership position in providing Internet Storage archive and backup solutions.

Enhanced to work with the Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Moonwalk provides "last mile" connectivity for Windows, Netware, OES2, Suse and RedHat system users without the need for them to develop their own Amazon S3 integration. With virtually unlimited capacity, the Moonwalk solution enables immediate Internet storage of old and infrequently used files, freeing up expensive primary storage without the need to purchase additional hardware. Data stored through Moonwalk's Internet Storage solution is fully protected with failover provided within Amazon S3.

"Amazon S3 was designed to allow organizations to store any amount of data inexpensively and securely, while ensuring that the data will always be available when needed," said Steve Rabuchin, Director of Developer Relations for Amazon Web Services. "We're pleased to support Moonwalk's Internet Storage Archive and Backup solution."
