REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Ingrian Networks, Inc., the leading provider of data privacy solutions, today announced the release of the Ingrian File System Connector, the industry’s first hardware-based key management solution for encrypting structured and unstructured data. The file encryption solution works with Ingrian’s flagship DataSecure® Platform to provide transparent, policy-driven and granular encryption of directories and files on corporate servers, enabling a complete end-to-end encryption solution.

Government and industry mandates require companies to provide audit trail information that prove their processes are documented and enforced. Ingrian’s comprehensive solution addresses security concerns and compliance mandates by protecting data within applications, databases and storage sub-systems. Customers now have a file encryption solution to protect all types of files such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents as well as database files that are housed within corporate servers.

“File encryption is a major concern for enterprises,” said Jon Oltsik, senior analyst, information security for Enterprise Strategy Group. “Users are looking for a complete solution, and by introducing the File System Connector, Ingrian has now created an integrated offering that enables encryption at the application, database or file level.”
