LOS GATOS, Calif. -- Hifn(tm) (NASDAQ: HIFN), the power behind network and information security, today announced that it is backing the Intel(r) QuickAssist Technology initiative designed to speed integration of and deliver strategic support for processor accelerators using Intel technology and addressing the need for increased performance on certain workloads such as imaging and cryptography. Through its interoperability with Intel's QuickAssist initiative, Hifn's family of card accelerators provides system vendors using Intel's architecture with significantly improved performance, zero-defect data assurance, faster time-to-market, and reduced development costs.

Hifn's Express DR (Data Reduction) and DS (Data Security) cards, both of which are a part of the Intel QuickAssist Technology initiative, will be on display on The Wall of Accelerators in the I/O & Application Acceleration Community at the upcoming Intel Developer Forum (IDF) on Sept. 18-20 at the Moscone Center West Convention Center in San Francisco.

"Hifn has long been the clear industry leader in data reduction and security solutions for high-bandwidth and low-latency applications," said Michael Goldgof, vice president of product marketing for Hifn "As the amount of data created and stored by enterprises drives new opportunities for OEMs, Intel and Hifn are the perfect team to enable our OEM customers to take advantage of them. Intel and Hifn, together, create a complementary, powerful solution designed to solve the burgeoning issues of data explosion in the enterprise."
