Fujitsu Limited announced Friday that it will deliver Novell's SUSE Linux Enterprise Server solutions for its Primequest and Primergy servers. The Intel-based servers with the Linux release will be available soon, Fujitsu said.

Kiyoshi Sensui, a Fujitsu executive, noted that his firm's Linux strategy dates back to 2002. The Novell Linux product rollout, he added, will be a global event.

"The growing demand for Linux solutions in mission-critical environments has led Fujitsu to support Linux as an IT infrastructure platform and to strengthen its own services and support offerings," Fujitsu and Novell said in a joint statement.
