BLUE BELL, Pa. -- Fiberlink Communications Corporation, the trusted expert for simple, secure mobile working, launches data encryption as a managed service to protect sensitive information stored on the laptops of mobile workers. Partnering with CREDANT Technologies, a leading provider of mobile data protection solutions, Fiberlink will integrate CREDANT'S Mobile Guardian product into its Extend360 Mobility Platform.

As the number of mobile devices continues to rise in today's global marketplace, so does the volume of sensitive data that circulates outside the control and protection of the corporate perimeter. The information stored on laptops and other mobile devices is vulnerable to attack from hackers, and the devices themselves can be lost or stolen. Best practice guidelines, as well as government regulators, recommend that information on mobile endpoints be encrypted to protect against data breaches at all times.
