Dot Hill selects PMC-Sierra's maxSAS storage solutions for its 2000 and 5000 Series RAID storage systems

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- PMC-Sierra, Inc. (Nasdaq:PMCS), a leading provider of broadband communications and storage semiconductors, today announced that Dot Hill Systems Corp. (Nasdaq:HILL) has selected PMC-Sierras maxSAS™ SAS/SATA chipset solution for its high-performance, modular enterprise storage platforms, the Dot Hill 2730 and 2730 Turbo for the entry level and the Dot Hill 5730 for the midrange. The Dot Hill platforms integrate PMC-Sierra’s PM8388 SXP 24x3G SAS expander switch, PM8398 36-port expander switch and PM8307 SPS 3GT intelligent SATA active/active multiplexer, enabling Dot Hill’s platforms to provide a scalable and modular enterprise-quality storage solution that delivers greater overall value.
