AUSTIN, Texas -- Crossroads Systems, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: CRDS.PK), a leading provider of data protection, security and connectivity solutions, is announcing the general availability of SecureVTS, its Virtual TapeServer (VTS) encryption solution for data backed-up and restored from disk. SecureVTS is a simple, integrated and cost-effective encryption VTS module that is being sold under the Crossroads brand and distributed through Crossroads long-standing OEM-branded partnerships.

The Problem - The number of publicized security breaches over the past 2 years has been alarming. Companies are facing an ever-increasing challenge of protecting corporate assets and meeting compliance and governance requirements. One such compliance standard is the Payment Card Industry (PCI) standard which requires that data-at-rest be encrypted per its security requirements - sections 3.4 through 3.6. This means that both “data stored on removable media,” such as on tape and optical devices, as well as “data stored on disk” arrays need to be encrypted. Companies must rapidly adopt new data encryption solutions to protect their data in a cost-effective yet scalable manner.

The Solution - Crossroads SecureVTS enables customers to meet specific IT security compliance requirements as well as business objectives.
