BRIDGEWATER, N.J. -- ControlGuard, a leading provider of endpoint security, today announced that it is now offering managed services for endpoint access management. ControlGuard is partnering with Ventelo, one of the largest service providers in Norway, to launch this new managed service in Europe.

“Endpoint security is an essential part of any security strategy,” said Israel Levy, CEO of ControlGuard. “With this new offering is a key value added service. We expect demand to be strong as many companies today are stretched thin on resources and looking for trusted service providers to help solve the challenges associated with managing, controlling and auditing the use of removable media and portable devices.”

Ventelo will offer ControlGuard’s endpoint security solution, Endpoint Access Manager, through its hosted mobile security solution that includes a comprehensive suite of client firewalls, antivirus, authentication, encryption, and mobile intellectual property (IP). The new offer will enable businesses to define and implement policies regarding the use of removable storage and portable devices without dedicating local resources. Policies will be defined based on business needs and then implemented and monitored remotely by Ventelo. Any use of portable devices at the desktop will be controlled and logged.

ControlGuard’s technology for managed services allows service providers to scale easily from small to large configuration and offer businesses granular control and detailed reports of removable device usage.

ControlGuard’s managed service offering will be available to its enterprise customers in Europe immediately and plans to offer it in the U.S. in the near future through its value added reseller partners.
