Ciprico Certifies MediaVault

MONTREAL -- Ciprico Inc. (NASDAQ: CPCI), a leading storage solutions provider for content creation, management and delivery applications and Tiger Technology Sarl, a developer of high performance, affordable storage area networking (SAN) and workgroup management software solutions, announces that the Ciprico MediaVaultTM RAID series has been certified for use with Tiger Technology's MetaSAN cross platform file sharing Storage Area Network (SAN) management software.

MediaVaultTM disk arrays are designed as a high performance, cost effective solution for bandwidth intensive content creation, ucompressed SD / HD editing and Digital Intermediate Film applications. They feature a high performance 4Gb Fibre channel interface and switchable RAID0 and RAID3 operation, offering both performance and protection. RAID 6 operation is now included on select MediaVaultTM models, providing even greater data protection.

Tiger Technologys MetaSAN turns the MediaVaultTM into a powerful, cross-platform, file-level sharing SAN by eliminating the risk of file-system corruption that would otherwise occur when multiple computers access the same disks. With MetaSAN, multiple computers can benefit from high-speed block-level access, cross-platform support, automatic load balancing, transparent failover, and per-client bandwidth usage control. MetaSAN distributes the MediaVaultTM performance to multiple users. Multiple MediaVaults can be striped together to meet greater performance requirements.
