Brocade highlights opportunities for the evolving data center at Storage Networking World fall 2007

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Brocade(R) (NASDAQ:BRCD) will offer a full lineup of demonstrations and presentations on the evolving data center at next week's Storage Networking World (SNW) Fall 2007 Conference, which runs from October 15 to 18, 2007 at the Gaylord Texan Resort Hotel and Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

Brocade demonstrations taking place at SNW include:

  • In Exhibit Hall Booth #P9 and the kiosk in Platinum Galleria #PG2,Brocade will showcase its line of Brocade Data Center Fabric

    solutions, including its end-to-end HBA/server connectivity solutions,

    Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) capabilities, and File Area Network

    (FAN) solutions.

  • At the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) Booth #P+1, Brocade

    will demonstrate the latest capabilities of the Brocade 48000Director, including 8 Gbit/sec Fibre Channel technology.

Brocade executives will also participate in the following breakout sessions during the conference:

  • Monday, October 15 at 9:20 a.m. -- Tom Clark, Brocade Principal

    Engineer, will present a tutorial entitled, "The Next Generation DataCenter -- Lean, Mean and Go Green."

  • Monday, October 15 at 1:55 p.m. -- John Hufferd, Brocade Senior

    Executive Director of Technology, will present on Fibre Channel over

    Ethernet, demonstrating the fundamentals of the FCoE concept and how

    it might be exploited in a data center environment.

  • Monday, October 15 at 3:45 p.m. -- Roger Bouchard, Brocade Worldwide

    Security Practice Lead, will lead a discussion entitled, "The Truthabout Security and Storage Area Network (SAN)."

  • Wednesday, October 17 at 3:05 p.m., -- Steve Wilson, Brocade Director

    of Technology and Standards, will present a tutorial alongside Tom

    Hammond-Doel, Senior Alliance Manager, LSI Corporation, covering the

    market outlook and roadmap of Fibre Channel technologies.

  • Wednesday, October 17 at 4:00 p.m. -- John Hufferd, Brocade Senior

    Executive Director of Technology, will explain the fundamentals ofiSCSI and iSCSI deployments in various environments.

Additionally, Brocade customer Leon Verriere, Infrastructure Consultant at Mohawk Industries, will deliver a presentation on Monday, October 15 from 11:10 to 11:55 a.m. entitled, "An Intelligent FAN Architecture for Improved Branch Office File Data Protection and Management."
