AXS-One will leverage unique features in both the AXS-One Compliance Platform and the new Microsoft Office 2007 SharePoint server platform

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- AXS-One Inc. [AMEX: AXO], a leading provider of high-performance records compliance management solutions (RCM), and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, today announced that it will deliver innovative new capabilities by leveraging unique features in both the AXS-One Compliance Platform and the new Microsoft Office 2007 SharePoint server platform, alongside enhanced business intelligence benefits for users of Microsoft SQL Server. This expansion of AXS-One’s alliance with Microsoft and their enhanced offerings on the Microsoft platform, which was unveiled in conjunction with the AIIM Conference and Expo in Boston, are designed specifically to help customers address emerging requirements related to records retention and litigation readiness.
The technologies involved are uniquely suited to help companies cope with the problem of rapidly increasing electronic content in a business environment that requires meticulous content archiving for reasons ranging from corporate governance to legal discovery. AXS-One will provide seamless integration of Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 data into the AXS-One Compliance Platform—its enterprise-class archive—and will allow customers to experience the AXS-One solution within their familiar Microsoft Office SharePoint interface. The AXS-One Compliance Platform provides a single, scalable archiving and electronic records management software platform for policy-based management of disparate electronic records.
Another high-value benefit of these joint efforts is AXS-One’s addition of new Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities built around Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Office 2007. AXS-One’s core technology allows customers to extract metrics for archived information and import them into a Microsoft SQL Server reporting and analytics environment, greatly easing business analytics, reporting tasks and transforming archived content into actionable solutions and key performance indicators. For many Microsoft and AXS-One customers, this offers the opportunity to gain enhanced functionality from existing technology and provides new perspectives on changing business priorities.
Electronic records management and content archiving have taken on a new urgency as a result of recent changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), which now require preservation and timely and accurate production of relevant “electronically stored information.” For IT executives, the solution is designed to deliver outstanding price performance, provide flexible and extensible retention policies, integrate Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) capabilities with tiered storage, and provide affordable disaster recovery and backup configurations.
“AXS-One has always focused on offering technologies that are designed from the ground up to help companies ensure compliance with government and legal regulations, and the extended partnership with Microsoft clearly takes us to a new level in this critical field,” said Bill Lyons, CEO of AXS-One. “By enabling our core technology to fully embrace the Microsoft platform, we believe we have the market-leading solution for archiving Microsoft Office data. Additionally, by combining our ability to mine and repurpose the data from the archive with the capabilities in the latest version of Microsoft SQL Server, we can deliver business intelligence and reporting analytics to support corporate decision-making.”
“In an environment where archiving electronic content and business analytics are clearly top management priorities, we are very excited to work with ISVs like AXS-One,” said Greg Urquhart, who leads Microsoft’s ISV business.” Their deep experience, knowledge, and leadership in the market, coupled with Microsoft’s platform, and overall technology innovation, enable powerful solutions that allow customers to meet today’s business demands and position them for continued success.“
